This week Kristi's challenge is to use rainbow colors on your card. And that definitely was a challenge for me.
MFT Brick Wall stencil- sponged on with Distress Ink, Fired Brick, sponges a sheet in Distress Inks the colors of the rainbow then die cut PTI's Stocking Prints in different areas to get different parts of the rainbow.
The holly is from Tag It's #9
Added my three granddaughters names to the stocking and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
This is my very first challenge on the Merry Monday Design Team. To say that I was ecstatic to receive an email from Lesley asking me to join the Merry Monday Design Team is an understatement. So, here I am, little ole me, on my very first Design Team..... WOW that is amazing!
Katie's challenge this week is to Make a Christmas card with watercoloring on it.
Well, I have finally created a card for this challenge and it wasn't easy. I really struggled trying to use foil, (It's not as easy as Jennifer makes it look) Ended up just using foil paper and that was much easier.
This is another Stamps of Life set. I joined the stamp club where they send you the stamp of the month because I don't usually buy these type of stamps. I really like flowers so that's what I usually buy. So this is my way of getting some different stamp sets to add to my collection. Some are a bit quirky.
This is a Stamps of Life - T-Shirt 2 Stamp I used Brushos on a sheet of paper when I was at Colleen's, one of the new things we were trying at her house. It was sitting on my desk and I thought hmmm, that looks like tye-dye and this t-shirt would be perfect except I had to fussy cut and I'm not too fond of fussy cutting, but it looked pretty easy so ta-dah...
After spending about 2 weeks with Colleen, I am back in my room creating alone. We had such a great time together as always. You'd think we would run out of things to talk about, but we don't.
I saw the Tag You're It challenge and decided to give it a try. I am slightly challenged when it comes to making cupcake cards. They just don't turn out so
great. I had some miscellaneous stamps that I gave to my granddaughter and so do not have any cupcake stamps.
So a sweet blogger friend, Marybeth sent me some cupcake images a few months ago when I announced I didn't have a single cupcake stamp.
And still not liking mine. Don't know what it is. I was happy until I tried to color in the sprinkles and just have a hard time keeping them in the lines. Grrrr......And I should have left the little frame white. Oh well, here it is.
We are taking a watercolor class from Craftsy and the instructor is
Deepti. This was an awesome class and showed us all kinds of new
techniques and how to achieve them.
Since these are not being entered into any challenges, I thought I could post them all here. The first two cards are using the Ombre watercolor method. The third is to color in the flowers with watercolor.
The first Halloween card is watercoloring the background in one color and I decided to make a Shaker card with it. We are trying out the Fuse and not having much success with it, but will persevere.
The second one is wet on wet watercolor and then adding more color around the images.
